The ultrasonic rail flaw detector 'PRD-100' is a flaw detection imager for rails which was developed employing our wealth of expertise in ultrasonic flaw detection. The PRD-100 detects internal flaws in rails a by means of the equipment installed on a cart which is guided over the rail by hand.
The inside of the rail is displayed in cross-sectional color in "B" mode ("B" scope) so even an operator with limited skills is able to make defect judgements easily.
The model 'PRD-100C' Rail Tester offers a new function which enlarges the image of rail bottoms for corrosion detection in additional to the basic model 'PRD-100A'.

    Type for applied inspection range - UIC 54 & 60, BS 75R & 90R, 115RE,132RE.

/// Features ///

  • Easy operation
    Specifically designed for rail testing, complex settings of conventional detectors are not required. The PRD-100 can be immediately operated when the power turned on.
  • Adjustable monitor position
    The position of the main monitor can be adjusted to suit the operator, greatly reducing operator fatigue.
  • Defect detection probe display
    LED lamp lights to immediately indicate that the probe has detected a defect during simultaneous 4-channel detection.
  • Defect detection alarm
    An alarm buzzer alerts the operator when a defect is found.
  • Continual recording of the detection image is performed with a videocassette recorder. The operator's comments can also be simultaneously recorded by means of a microphone connection. The detection image captured on videotape can be output with a video printer or downloaded to a personal computer which aids in the creation of reports.
