Obtaining maritime situational awareness for VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) and Coastal Surveillance is becoming ever more challenging. The need to provide vessel traffic services beyond territorial waters, the operation of MASS (Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships) and the proliferation of offshore wind farms is expected to bring more complexity.
To cope with this increase of complexity and to effectively manage the safety and security of coastal and inland waters, Tokyo Keiki provides the SeaKu Series of Ku Band Solid State Radar Systems.
SeaKu Radar systems are designed to detect large and small objects precisely in the area of interest.
Compared to conventional X-Band radar systems, Ku-Band solutions achieve the higher resolution required for vessel aspect discrimination, which improves situational awareness.
Our Ku Band radars comply with IALA Recommendation V-128 and Guideline 1111. Taking into account the V-128 and G-1111, we can support you in formulating technical requirements that are based on your needs analysis.
We also welcome requests to meet special requirements.
Higher resolution not only increases the radar’s performance, it also allows for longer detection ranges. As a result, higher resolution gives you more options to design radar chains in a resource-efficient manner, e.g. by reducing the number of radars in operation or by moving radar sites to locations that are easier to support. For example, installations on costly isolated islands can be replaced with sites on the coastline.
The high detection capability of Tokyo Keiki's Ku-Band SSR system even under severe weather conditions is enabled by our unique signal processing technology that incorporates major enhancements. These enhancements include improved range sidelobe levels based on a proprietary chirp pulse compression method, cost-effective component integration and combination of pulse-Doppler and clutter removal processing.
The SeaKu transceiver is designed to maximize system availability. We guarantee the performance at no extra cost during the warranty period. SeaKu is designed to operate without downtime for ten years under recommended periodical maintenance. Therefore, it reduces maintenance costs and gives you clarity on the life cycle cost when you plan a new installation.
