Overview of the system and features

TOKYO KEIKI's leading edge image recognition technology is employed in the Print-CAP web inspection system - a system which responds to the demanding needs of the printing and converting industry.
Traditionally, print inspection has been a manual task, relying on the skilled and experienced eyes of the operator but this mode of inspection has obvious limitations where high speed, high volume machinery and other demanding requirements are involved. In such environments even slight oversights may lead to major production failures and significant losses.
Print-CAP frees the inspection process from reliance on operator skill and experience. It employs high accuracy CCD cameras, image processing technology, and a familiar Windows95 operating system format in a well-designed package for automatic inspection. Print-CAP can handle both in-line as well as off-line inspections. The number of cameras can be selected by the customer according to his needs for inspection accuracy providing him flexibility to tailor the Print-CAP to his application.

FEATURES

• Easy-to-use
  The system employs a user familiar Windows operating interface and, of course, mouse-activation for most functions.
  
• Easy-to-view
  A 17 inch CRT is standard equipment. Windows allows the user to utilize the entire screen to view selected images and information.
  
• High accuracy cameras
  Minute graduations in color can be captured by the system's high resolution, high performance three-line CCD cameras.
  
• Large capacity external memory
  DVD-RAM drive (max. 5.2GB) for memory storage is standard equipment.
  
• Networking
  The system may be linked to an existing in-house LAN with the addition of a LAN board. Windows-based operation insures smooth data interchange with servers and other equipment.
